Position Purpose
We are seeking a molecular/cell biologist with hands-on project and laboratory experience to join our San Bruno, CA team to both manage on-going biology projects and identify/develop biochemical, cell-based and in vivo assays for the screening of drug candidates, as needed.
Responsibilities
- Manage on-going biology projects in collaboration with various Contract Research Organizations in the US and China.
- Identify/develop/validate new biochemical, cell-based and in vivo assays to support the various projects in such collaborations
Qualifications
- Master ’s degree in biological sciences with 5+ years of industry experience, or Ph.D. in biological sciences with 3+ years of industry experience.
- Extensive experience in developing biological assays for drug screening with attention to details.
- Track record of successfully developing, validating and transferring biological assays
- Experience in organizing complex projects, including good record-keeping, utilizing databases, management to timelines, etc
- Familiar with basic molecular biology and cell biology techniques.
- Willing to assume unusual working hours to communicate with Contract Research Organizations around the world and willing to take occasional travel.
- Good communication skills, fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
- Self-motivated, highly organized.
